sql server - A network-related or instance-specific error while trying to connect to SQL Azure from SSMS -
i following error when trying connect sql azure account sqlserver management studio. use "sql server 2008 r2" on windows 7 32-bit machine.
a network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing connection sql server. server not found or not accessible. verify instance name correct , sql server configured allow remote connections. (provider named pipes provider, error 40 - not open connection sql server)
i have followed instructions blog.sqlauthority.com did not help.
this how trying connect azure:
and have noticed 1 more error in sql server services, services running.
the remote procedure call failed. [0x800706be]
ps: have added ip address in "manage ip addresses" in windows azure.
any ideas!
this generalized question. there can have many reasons due getting network related error. have ever got work before? sure server name correct? can cross check?
or else can check internet connectivity , working of vpn(if use it)
